G & G Restoration is seeking an assistant office manager to oversee the smooth daily operation and growth of its roofing, siding and storm restoration business. Thanks to its commitment to provide customers peace of mind, every time, G & G Restoration has become one of the region’s most respected and awarded contracting professionals. As the company seeks to scale its business and reach more potential clients, an operations manager is needed to oversee a number of vital company functions and manage the day-to-day operations of the business, its employees and its subcontractors.
This position requires knowledge of business administration as well as invoicing and billing, experience with customer service, comfort working with suppliers, vendors and insurance companies, familiarity working within city, county and state regulations, and a commitment to being personally efficient while helping to develop more efficient business processes. The applicant should also have at least some experience managing staff, as this position will require some oversight of field personnel. In particular, the ideal candidate will have previous experience working in construction or similar industries, should be prepared to react to inquiries quickly and competitively, and must be a highly-motivated self-starter who places a high value on the success of the business. As the business grows, this candidate should be prepared to document and teach the processes that make G & G successful.
The selected candidate will enjoy the freedom to work wherever he or she chooses, including from home, and to set his or her own schedule so long as all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be local to the Kansas City metro area and should be able to perform local errands and tasks. This position will be hired on a trial basis, with the potential for it to become full time. Benefits may become available should we offer the selected candidate the full-time position.
Job Requirements:– Experience managing daily business operations like invoicing, scheduling, ordering, working with customers and directing work crews- At least some experience working in the contracting / construction industries- Comfortable working with modern business technology, from online invoicing to three-way calling- A keen interest in building the business and developing processes to make the company as efficient as possible- Candidate must have space to work from home or a similar environment, and be willing to work occasional weekends & non-business hours- An extremely high level of self motivation is absolutely required for success in this position
– Extremely high enthusiasm, and a willingness to be accountable for all work performed
– Candidate must live in the Kansas City metro area and be able to make occasional trips in and around the metro
Preferred Qualifications:– Experience operating an office or operating a roofing / construction industry business, especially in an organization that deals with insurance companies- Experience working in environments with limited direct supervision- College-level degree, certificate or special training preferred in business-related field
– Speaks at least some Spanish
